Ortofon is one of the oldest and most successful cartridge manufacturers. Until now, only specialist DJ cartridges made for rough use were available in the Concorde shape. The Concorde Music series was recently introduced to make this style of cartridge available in a home audio form, using the well loved 2M internals. The big advantage with this design is that it completely does away with the need for cartridge alignment. It also does away with the fiddley clip on wires just slightly larger than a hair. Concordes work on any standard "S" shaped tonearm used by classics like the Technics 1200II, the Pioneer PL-550, new turntables like the Audio Technica LP 120, and many many more.
