Cables like these are no friend to vintage amps and receivers. Most connectors on mid century audio are stamped metal, and were never designed for these connectors. Cables like these require excessive force to connect and remove. Worse yet, the center connector is often slightly oversized. This spreads the female connection on the jack. While we can sometimes improve this on some units by manipulating the jack, it will never be as new. Replacement of these connectors is usually cost prohibitive.
